Waffle Cup Ice Cream Bowl
A waffle cup, reimagined in clay. This handmade ceramic bowl is wheel-thrown, then finished with a soft ruffled rim and a waffle texture carved into the clay one square at a time, by hand.
Holds two generous scoops, with room for a third on top if you're feeling it. Roughly 5 to 6 inches wide and 3 to 4 inches tall.
The ruffles are more than pretty; tuck your thumb and finger just beneath them and you've got a comfortable, no-cold-hands hold. And like the waffle cone, the carved waffle is left unglazed on purpose, so it keeps the matte, textured feel of the real thing and stays easy to grip even as your ice cream melts and the bowl sweats, exactly where a glossy surface would turn slippery. A few soft glaze drips on the waffle nod to the first hint of a melt. Beautiful and considered, down to how it feels in your hand.
Made for ice cream, though it's just as lovely holding granola, berries, or a few rings and trinkets on your counter.
