Custom Ceramic Business Card Holder
Some things I make aren't meant to be sold. This was one of them, until enough people tried to change my mind.
I made my first business card holder for myself. I wanted something handmade and personal for my market table, and I couldn't find exactly what I was picturing, so I made it myself. I didn't think much of it after that.
Then people started asking.
So here we are, for a limited time, I'm opening custom orders for ceramic business card holders, made to order, just for you.
Each holder starts with a hand-rolled slab base and your choice of two small thrown or sculpted elements on top. You pick the clay body, the glaze direction, whether you want carving on the back, and I'll build the rest around your vision.
Starting at $40
A few gentle notes:
Base price ($40) includes 2 thrown or sculpted elements, plain back, single dip glaze, white or brown stoneware clay body
Additional elements are +$5-10 each, depending on complexity
Carving on the back is +$5-15, describe what you want and I'll quote you
Hand-painted instead of single dip glaze is +$10
Mixing more than one clay body is +$5 per additional body (white stoneware, brown stoneware, and porcelain (+$10) available)
These measure approximately 4.5 inches wide, 2.5 inches deep, and 2.5 inches tall. The dimensions can be roughly adjusted to your liking
Here's how it works:
Submit your request and I'll review and follow up within 72 hours
If accepted, you'll receive a design proposal and invoice
A $40 deposit is required to begin, this goes toward your final total. If you have add-ons, I'll invoice you for the remainder before I start
Shipping is $5 flat
Once the invoice is paid, your piece moves into production
All pieces are final sale
Subtle variations in color and form are part of the beauty of handmade work
Orders close Sunday, June 14th. Please allow 6–10 weeks from order confirmation
